​Patricia (Pat) Verge is a writer based in Cochrane, Alberta, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Moving to Cochrane nearly 30 years ago was like coming home for Pat as her formative adolescent years had also been spent close to the mountains in Golden, British Columbia.

Pat considers herself a lifelong learner, and hopes to always be in a "learning mode."  She is passionate about reading, both fiction and non-fiction. A few of her favorite areas of learning are: Indigenous history and culture; reconciliation; the people and history of Ireland; psychology and neuroplasticity. She loves to travel with her husband Harry, spend time with family and friends, and her beloved grandchildren. She loves dogs, especially her Corgi Misha. Above all, Pat appreciates life and the opportunities that life affords us to serve each other, create lasting bonds of friendship and together strive for a better world for everyone.
